NLS Certificate Programs

Unfortunately, coparenting services are not covered under most insurance plans. We offer the following options based on your specific needs. Virtual sessions via Zoom may be available in place of in-person sessions if approved by the court.

 

Parenting Basics Certificate Program

The Parenting Basics Certificate Program includes:

• One (1) 53-minute intake session per coparent
  Insurance may be billed for intake sessions if coverage is available.

• Two (2) four-hour educational sessions
  ($600 per session; $1,200 total)

Program topics include:

• Communication and Conflict Resolution Basics

• Coparenting Scheduling and Planning

• Child Development and Parenting Skills

 

Coparenting Meetings Certificate

Completion of the Parenting Basics Certificate Program is required prior to issuance of the Coparenting Meetings Certificate.

 

Option 1: Collaborative Coparents

• Three (3) successful coparenting meetings

• Meetings occur once per month

• Counselor serves as mediator

Option 2: High-Conflict Coparents

• Six (6) successful coparenting meetings

• Meetings occur once per month

• Counselor serves as mediator

          Coparents share the cost of these sessions equally. Sessions are $120 per coparent and payment is due at the time of service. A “successful” meeting is defined as a session in which coparents are able to collaborate on parenting-related issues without hostility or animosity. Meetings will continue until this standard has been achieved for three consecutive months. Certificates will be presented to the coparent upon completion of each program along with a letter reflecting the process.. It is your responsibility to provide them to the court.
